Description:Well Known Leading Edge Global Consumer Products Company on a mission to develop future leaders. The Assoc. Category Manager will work collaboratively with our Target team to develop winning category management solutions through objective insights and analysis driving category growth. Candidates should have the ability to identify and interpret key opportunities with actionable recommendations. Position will have direct interaction with retail partners and have high visibility with manager, multiple team leaders, and director. Candidates should have current knowledge of the retail environment, category management principles and possess ability to inspire the customer with excellent communication and organizational skills. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Provide business & market updates to retail partners / internal teams (e.g. merchandising, assortment, pricing, promotion, etc.) Provide advanced analytics to support retailer and team initiatives using customer POS, loyalty/behavioral data and syndicated panel data. Identify trends and opportunities and provide actionable recommendations/solutions at a macro and micro level. Leverage an understanding of concepts such as shopper insights, merchandise planning, and pricing; and the relationship of these functions. Ability to integrate data from multiple resources to develop actionable insights and recommendations. Utilizes systems such as Nielsen, Panel & Customer Loyalty, InfoScout, and Space Planning to create and maintain information used for tactical and strategic decisions on products/categories. Penetrate retailer at various levels to build relationships and influence decision making. Participates in customer appointments and presentations. Build relationships, equity and influence as a category knowledge expert Develop effective and accurate reports and scorecards Acts as a knowledge source and trainer to others for Category Management, Shopper Insights and tools/systems.
Requirements: Bachelor's Degree required 3 years of experience in analyzing and interpreting data Strong analytical skills with the ability to link strategies and objectives to develop plan Clear and concise written / oral communication skills Strong planning / organizing skills that lend to managing major projects simultaneously Able to provide clear direction, make decisions, and solve problems Creativity and initiative
Compensation:70k - $95k; 15% bonus (max 30%)
